​Robyn Brunk

Robyn began her career as a programmer/analyst for Rocco, Inc in Harrisonburg which then was purchased by Cargill, Inc. after earning a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University.  In 2005 she returned to James Madison University to earn a Master’s in Arts in Early Childhood Education.  Her Virginia teaching license is for Early/Primary Education PreK-3 (preschool to 3rd grade).  For the last 11 years she taught preschool for Augusta County Schools through the Head Start program using the Blueprint curriculum for 10 of those years.  She has lived in Augusta County since 1996 and loves the Shenandoah Valley.  She lives here with her wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters who attend Wilson Elementary School.  She and her family love the outdoors, sports and playing with our dog, a black german shepherd.  She is an active member of Bridge Christian Church in Fishersville.

Susan Wilson
Lead Teacher - PreK
Susan has a BS in Secondary Education from the University of Tennessee,
with elementary certification from East Tennessee State University. Her
career began as a elementary and middle school teacher while living in
Atlanta GA. While living in Virginia she has worked as a preschool
teacher at Westminster Preschool and presently FUMC Child Development Center as the Pre-K teacher. Susan has been certified for many years to teach Blueprint Curriculum.  She has 2 grown children named Emily and Jeffery. She
is an active member of Fishersville United Methodist Church.
Ashley Ragland
Lead Teacher - 3s, After School Teacher - PreK
Ashley has been a teacher at FUMC child development center since August 2008, working with children ages 2 to 4. She holds a highest honors diploma from Strafford Institute in Early Childhood Education. Ashley is also trained in the Blueprint Curriculum and 123 Read program. Ashley grew up in the beautiful Shenandoah valley in the town of Woodstock. Before joining the FUMC team she worked for J & B Valley Stores where she was employed for seven years becoming the G.M. for this company. After marrying her husband Ron and moving to Augusta County in 2003,  they welcomed a blessing, Mckenzie. Ashley enjoys crafting, reading, bargain shopping and working in the FUMC nursery in her spare time.  She looks forward to another exciting year, nurturing your child's love for learning!
Vicki Hicks
Lead Teacher - 3s, After School Teacher - PreK
Hi! My name is Vicki Hicks and I have worked at FUMC Child Development Center since 2010. During that time I have worked with children ages 2-4. I love working with children and have thoroughly enjoyed watching my students learn and grow each year. I am originally from Indiana, where I received my Bachelor of Science  from the University of Southern Indiana. My husband and I and were relocated to this area in 1999, by his employer. I started working with children in 2000 at the FUMC church nursery on Sunday mornings. Years of that led me to the public school system, where I worked as an Instructional Assistant in a Preschool classroom. While there, I received extensive training and continuing education each month. I am also certified in Blueprint Curriculum training. I was thrilled, when years later I ended up back at FUMC Child Development Center. My family and I keep very busy with different sports and activities throughout the year. I am very blessed!
Mary Beth Reed
Lead Teacher - PreK
My name is Mary Beth Reed. I was born in Waynesboro, Va.  I have resided
in Augusta County my whole life.  I'm married with two beautiful
children.   I graduated from Wilson Memorial High School,   Blue Ridge
Community College and attended Colorado State University.   I have also been certified to teach the Blueprint curriculum we currently use here at FUMC. 
I am a member of Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church.   My hobbies include
horse back riding,  fishing and my children's sports. 
Jody Talarico
Lead Teacher - PreK

Jody is originally from Pennsylvania. She relocated to Waynesboro in 2009 with her family. She graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelors Degree.  Jody was a Navy Wife for 7 years; in that time she and her husband were stationed in Norfolk and Oahu, HI.  She has worked as the Director of Social Services in various nursing/rehabilitation facilities.  Prior to starting at FUMC Child Development Center she was a stay at home mom to her two amazing sons and her beautiful daughter.  Jody has been the Lead After School Teacher, The Lead Summer Camp Counselor and the Summer Camp Curriculum Coordinator while here at FUMC.  Jody is certified to teach Blueprint Curriculum.   She is also a member of the Principal Advisory Committee at Wilson Middle School.  She is the Treasurer for Valley Venom 13 travel ball team, and is the Team Mom for her sons' baseball teams.

Lisa Garnett
Lead Teacher - 2s

Hi my name is Lisa Garnett. My family has resided in Augusta County for many generations. I am married to my husband Robbie. We have 2 beautiful girls, that keep us BUSY! I enjoy Travel and photography. I am a member of Waynesboro Mennonite Church, and especially enjoy our children's outreach missions Kids Club. I have many years working and teaching preschool age children. I am excited to start another great year of learning and growth here at FUMC!
Alexa White
After School Lead Teacher

Hello, My name is Alexa White. I graduated from Wilson Memorial High School in 2011. In 2015, I graduated from Mary Baldwin College with a degree in Psychology and a minor in History. I also work part time at the Staunton-Augusta YMCA as a Playroom Attendant. I enjoy physical fitness activities, reading, drawing, dancing, and singing.

Andrea White
Assistant Teacher, After School Teacher

Hello Everyone, My name is Andrea White. I graduated from Wilson Memorial High School in 2011. I graduated from Blue Ridge Community College in 2015 with an AAS degree in Management - Administrative Assistant and Business Specialist Specialization as an honor student. I worked at Wonder Land Enrichment Center as a Lead Teacher for over a year. I also work at the Staunton-Augusta YMCA as a Playroom Attendant; I’ve been there for 7 years. I enjoy singing, dancing, reading, exercising (going on hikes, running 5Ks, etc.) and working with children. I’m excited to see what this year will bring!
Michelle Saunders
Assistant Teacher

Michelle was born and raised in the Shennandoah Valley.  She is a graduate of Fort Defiance High School and is married to her husband Nick.  They have three children, Nya, Jayden and Aubree.  Michelle has been working with children since she was ten years old.  She has worked at HoneyTree and other childcare programs.  Before working with us she worked in pediatrics as a nursing assistant.  Michelle loves her family and being involved in their sports and activities, especially cheer and baseball!

Nicole Baucom

Hello, I am Nicole Baucom and I'm an Assistant Teacher.  I am from Middlefield, Ohio.  In Ohio I worked for Job & Family Services for 16 years before relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina for 2 years.  My family and I moved here about 5 years ago.  I am a mother of 4 children.  I enjoy being around children and helping them get ready for Kindergarten.
Nicole Mills
Assistant Teacher

Hello, my name is Nicole Mills. I am a proud mom of 3 amazing kids. Christopher, Tehya, and Casey! They are my life, my everything, and they keep me really busy playing sports all year round. I am their #1 fan! I have coached basketball, baseball and softball. I am a HUGE sports fanatic who loves to play and watch sports! 

I have been teaching children for 5 years and can work with any age group. I was a lead teacher of preschool for 3 years and have experience in the other age groups too. I was a substitute teacher at Clymore Elementary School last year and taught Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. I am certified in childcare, counseling, and some nursing. I started working with FUMC in their 2017 summer camp as the Lead Camp Counselor of the four year old and five year olsd group. I was only planning on working the summer for them, but fell in love with the children. When the kids begged me to stay, I couldn't tell them no. Their cute puppy dog eyes got me.  I'm a silly teacher who loves to make the kids laugh as they learn. Life is better when you laugh!
